How Import Finance Works

Import Finance is flexible and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of a business. An example of the transaction process is as follows.

  1. Client receives an order from their customer
  2. Application provided to Scottish Pacific
  3. Import Finance transaction approved (letter of credit and currency protection initiated if applicable)
  4. Goods produced and shipped
  5. Supplier paid, and Import Bill created
  6. Goods landed, cleared and delivered to customer
  7. Import Bill repaid from Debtor Finance proceeds
  8. Customer pays and Debtor Finance cleared.
